Hi everyone, my name is Michaella Mutoni and I’m a third-culture-kid/adult. 🙂 If you’re not familiar with the term, it basically identifies a person who spent their formative years in a culture that was different than theirs/their parents.
Having grown up in 7 different countries, I have always been fascinated by how identity is formed, and the impact that culture has. By day, I am a growth strategist at a tech company. By night, I ponder on how we can be further represented in the world, as we are – with our multiple, complex identities – and how when we tap into it, we can live our best lives.
My hope with Faces of the Diaspora is to start and continue the conversation on what it means to be an African in the diaspora. I am glad you are joining us on this journey!
